THE KOAN OF CHRONIC ILLNESS
An Integral Approach
Learn to map and manage the myriad issues associated with chronic illness whether you are a patient, caregiver, medical professional, or policymaker.
By now you may have seen Dr. Lynn Royster Fuentes Integral Life Practice module
the Koan of Chronic Illness. The reaction to Lynn’s approach to managing
chronic illness through an Integral lens has been phenomenal. Many have asked
when Lynn was going to offer a complete deep dive on her approach.
We are happy to announce that Lynn’s web course: “The Koan of Illness” is now
available for your participation.
Some problems in life are “wicked problems.” Wicked problems are difficult or
impossible to solve because of incomplete, contradictory, and changing
requirements that are often difficult to recognize. To tackle the confusing
territory of this illness, you need a map. But where is it?
Lynn has spent most of her life as caregiver for people with chronic illnesses
and knows well the confusing territory that people with illness, their
caregivers, and their medical providers have to navigate. She has also
been a student of integral theory for over twenty years, and she has derived a
helpful map for managing chronic illness based in the theory.
In the course you will learn to
- more
effectively navigate both the project and the trauma of illness
- interact
skillfully with the many players in the healthcare world, including family
and friends
- spot
shadow aspects that are triggered by chronic illness
- use
chronic illness as a path to personal and spiritual growth
- live
with the koan that illness presents to you
